Skin of colour is easier to irritate and hyperpigment than Caucasian skin, and loses more ceramides over time, leading to dry skin.

It therefore requires hydrating, non-irritating, anti-inflammatory and anti-pigmentation ingredients to deal with these additional skin concerns, without triggering further issues.

The Dr V Complete Daily Range contains ALL the necessary active ingredients and more, to deal with these problems effectively in skin of colour.

It is 'NAFE SAFE' to minimise chances of irritation i.e. No Denatured Alcohol, No Fragrance and No Essential Oils. 

Arranged in a step-by-step, easy to use, comprehensive system, it is a groundbreaking all-in one package, designed to make skincare as easy for you as possible.

For most skin types (normal/dry/combination).

Persons with oily skin can also use the range but will be more likely suited for the Dr. V Trio Blemish range for oily/acne prone skin.

Not for persons with a history of reactions to skincare products, very dry/sensitive skin, damaged skin or if active skin conditions are present i.e. seborrhoeic dermatitis, severe eczema.

We lose approx. 1% of the collagen in our skin per year from the early twenties, so this line is recommended from 21 years old onwards.

*Users with dry/sensitive skin may benefit from: 1. not applying the Antioxidant Serum on the same day as the Exfoliator, 2. not double-cleanse every day but do so on alternate days, or as required.

Best practice when first starting the routine: Gradually build up usage over 1-2 weeks; start with the Cleansers for 2-3 days, then add the moisturiser for 3-4 days, then add the Toner, Exfoliator and Antioxidant Serum in the 2nd week.

Patch test individual products and the whole sequence on a discreet area before usage.

It is always advised to use the Hydrating Toner before the Exfoliator, to reduce possible irritation.

Warning 1: In general, only apply the products in this range on normal, clean skin, not if cracked/damaged.

Warning 2: Antioxidant Power Serum not to be used if pregnant/breastfeeding, nor in conjunction with any professional treatments. Please wait for 1 month after completion before trying this product.

1. How long do Daily Range products last for?

This will vary for each product and person, however, if usage guidelines are followed, the average duration may be 4-6 weeks approx.

2. Is the Daily Range suitable for pregnancy & breastfeeding?

Yes the range is suitable with the exception of the 'Antioxidant Serum'. If unsure or your circumstances vary, please check with your doctor.

3a. Is the Daily Range suitable for all skin types?

Yes it is suitable for all skin types, however persons with very sensitive skin / rosacea / active skin conditions etc. should AVOID the 'Exfoliate to Glow' product.

Users with oily skin may prefer to use the Dr V Trio Blemish range which has been specifically designed for oily skin concerns

3b. What if I have combination skin (acne prone, hormonal acne & non-acne prone)?

Please try the following protocol if your skin is normal/dry in most areas and oily on the T-zone:

AM & PM please use the Dr. V Daily Range, but on the T-zone, use the TRIO Blemish Exfoliator INSTEAD OF the Daily Range 'Exfoliate to Glow' product.

3c. What if I have combination skin plus rosacea?

Same routine as (3b) above on all other areas but do not exfoliate on rosacea area please.

4. Is the Daily Range suitable for use around the EYES?

You can use all of the products around the eye area, except for the 'Exfoliate to Glow' product.

However please use these products with caution and ensure they do not enter the eye, wash out immediately if they do.

5a. Can you use the Daily Range with Dr. V Hyperpigmentation kits?

Yes, apply the Facial Pigmentation Kit cream at night, followed by Antioxidant
Power Serum (optional) a few minutes later, and then Cera Pep as the final layer.

The other Daily Range products should be used at the normal timings they are in your general skincare routine / Facial Pigmentation Kit program i.e. cleanse, moisturise as appropriate, but NOT the 'Exfoliate to Glow' on the same day.

If you feel you need to exfoliate, you can take 1 day off the Facial Pigmentation kit
in the week and use 'Exfoliate to Glow' on that day.

5b. Can you use the Daily Range with other professional treatments / laser / microneedling?

Avoid the Daily Range on the same day as laser or other professional treatments. If the skin has healed and is not sensitive, you can use the Daily Range after 24 hours of the procedure, or 72 hours for the Exfoliate to Glow.

Please check with your treatment provider in case they have different aftercare guidelines.

5c. Can you use the Daily Range with Tretinoin?

Yes, you can use it in the following order: 

1. Normal Daily Range

2. Antioxidant Serum

3. Tretinoin

4. Cera Pep Moisturiser

However, please note the Antioxidant Serum already contains a lot of vitamin A ingredients so Tretinoin should be used sparingly and only if required.

5d. Can this range be used alongside dermaplaning?

Please don’t use the Exfoliator on the week of dermaplaning, please wait 7 days after. The other products in this range are fine to use.

6. I have never used Vitamin A before, do I need to do anything special to start off with?

The Antioxidant Power Serum contains the least irritating form of Vitamin A and at a low %, hence it can be used as normal per the application guidelines.

However, as with all treatment products, we advise patch testing first, to ensure there are no skin reactions before proceeding with application to the more prominent areas.

7. Can this range be used on ezcema / damaged skin barrier / broken skin?

The Micellar Gel Wash and Cera Pep Moisturiser would be ok to cautiously use on mild eczema, but NOT the Exfoliator, Antioxidant Serum or other products in the range.

No products should be used on raw, bleeding or very sensitive skin.

8. Will this range remove pigmentation?

The daily range is an anti-ageing, skin brightening range, for lighter
hyperpigmentation marks also.

Dr V Facial Pigmentation kit is for stubborn pigmentation. The 2 products can complement each other well.

9. What ingredients in the range can help my PORES?

Niacinamide & Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (fat soluble Vitamin C) – improves the skin’s elasticity & suppleness, which helps pores retain & regain their original shape. IF required in relation to your skin, you can use Salicylic Acid 2% to unclog pores.

9. How long does it take to see results?

You may start to notice beneficial effects in as little as 2-4 weeks, however we advise 12 weeks to see the full potential.

Yes, apply the Facial Pigmentation Kit cream at night, followed by Antioxidant Power Serum (optional) a few minutes later, and then Cera Pep as the final layer.

The other Daily Range products should be used at the normal timings they are in your general skincare routine / Facial Pigmentation Kit program i.e. cleanse, moisturise as appropriate, but NOT the 'Exfoliate to Glow' on the same day.

2. Should I still use Niacinamide, Ceramides, Retinol, Azelaic acid or Vitamin C serums from other brands?

You don't need to use any of the active ingredients above from other products as they (or ingredients with similar functions) are already well represented in the Daily Range. Doing so may be a waste of money and could lead to skin reactions.

However, you can add an extra Retinol product into your skincare routine if you wish to (but not essential).

When introducing new products into your routine, please patch test in a discreet area and build up usage gradually over 2-3 weeks to the full recommended dosage. Always follow the manufacturer's safety guidelines too.

3. I have dark spots; can I include The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin in this routine?

Yes you can; apply it (e.g. Alpha Arbutin / pigmentation serums or our Facial Pigmentation Kit) in the evening after your Super Hydrating Toner. Follow with our Antioxidant Power Serum then your Cera Pep Brightening Moisturiser. 

We would not advise using more than ONE other brand serum in conjunction with our program.

4. Do I need to incorporate tranexamic acid with this?

You can use any tyrosinase inhibitor serum with this range. Apply it after your Hydrating Toner and before your Antioxidant Serum.  

No need to use any other niacinamide or peptide as it is in the range.

5. Do I still need to use Dr V YouTube Channel recommended products such as Garnier Micellar Water, Simple Moisturising Face Wash, DHC Cleansing Oil?

No, these products have effective counterparts in the Dr V Daily Range. For instance the Dr V Micellar Gel Wash effectively replaces both Micellar Water and a normal Face Wash.

6a. Can I still use Tretinoin or Hydroquinone with the range?

It is acceptable to use o.t.c or prescribed Tretinoin or Hydroquinone (subject to medical advice provided, if any), BUT NOT with the Dr. V Exfoliate to Glow, nor with Dr. V Facial Pigmentation Kit. 

However, it is not permissable to use Isotretinoin/Roaccutane with the Serum.

6b. Which products can be used with Roaccutane/Isotretinoin?

Only the cleansers and moisturiser please, not the other products in the range.

6c. Can you use the salicylic acid or benzyl peroxide for spot treatment with the range?

Yes.
